Rankings and Gradings

Gradings

The purpose of the grading system is to provide a manageable competitive circuit. Grades are not performance indicators, this is the purpose of the ranking lists. They are however designed to provide guidance to players, parents and coaches and help then plan an appropriate Individual Tournament Programme.

Rankings

Badminton England regularly publishes ranking tables for all playing in recognised ranking tournaments. Points are allocated depending on how well players progress in tournaments, with more senior, or higher graded tournaments attracting more points.
